The role
I work closely with product, engineering, commercial teams, and company leadership to shape strategy, clarify business goals, identify the right problems to solve, and turn complex operational requirements into coherent product experiences. This includes contributing to annual and quarterly planning, helping shape two five-year company visions, and guiding major initiatives such as the integration of Eversports and MATCHi, provider migrations, and the evolution of the next generation of Eversports Ballsport Manager. I stay closely involved in product development, helping teams refine workflows, navigate technical and business constraints, align on tradeoffs, and maintain a consistent level of quality across the product.
The work behind it
My leadership comes from five years of hands-on work across Eversports. I created and continue to maintain the company’s first design system, redesigned core B2C experiences including venue discovery, profiles, checkout, friends, and public matches, and led design for a major SEO initiative that substantially improved organic search performance. I later worked across B2B areas such as communication tools, widgets, branded apps, automations, and referral features. Today, I use my broad product knowledge to mentor and direct designers working on complex domains such as spot booking, private sessions, analytics, finance and compliance, teacher substitution, availability, and pricing. I also built the design team, hired and onboarded eight designers from more than 500 CVs and interviews, introduced a competency framework and product knowledge bases, helped shape the company’s brand guidelines, introduced AI tools and practices across the organization, and supported the delivery of Eversports’ first AI-powered product features.

Who I am outside the job title

I'm Amirhossein, though most people just call me Amir. The story starts in Tehran, in a family that looked at the world through art, so I grew up learning to notice things: the shape of a feeling, the weight of a color, the way a line could carry emotion before a single word did.

At seven, I got my hands on an old Pentium 1, a consolation prize from my dad after I begged for a SEGA and didn't get it. I never really left that machine again. By the time I hit high school, curiosity had turned into a small hustle: designing logos that were, generously speaking, learning experiences. I built a website to sell .psd templates, graphics, and posters, cobbling together freelance work before I even knew what freelance meant. University brought a small startup and my first real lesson in what it means to take work seriously. The years after that were a slow education in craft and discipline, moving through companies, moving through tools. I remember hacking my window just to get Framer to run, then Adobe XD, then InVision Studio, until I finally landed somewhere that felt like home: Figma.

Gaming taught me something I didn't expect. Leading raids in World of Warcraft, I discovered I liked being the one people counted on to make the call. That instinct followed me out of the game and into real rooms with real stakes. At twenty four, I stepped into my first leadership role, more nerve than certainty at first, faking it until it stopped feeling like faking. Vienna became home in 2021. I can still trace a line from that kid hunched over a Pentium 1 to the person people now trust to lead.

I still spend my evenings the way I did as a kid, in front of my PC, deep in a game, a show, or a fantasy novel. I never grew out of being a geek, and it built the career I'm proud of.
